Basic knowledge of and insight into the fundamentals and the concepts of the audit process 2. Basic auditing methods and techniques 3. An advanced understanding of and insight into the business risks connected to information and communication technology 4. An advanced understanding of and insight into the auditing of information and communication technology planning and organization 5. An advanced understanding of and insight into the auditing of the development of information and communication technology applications 6. An advanced understanding of and insight into the auditing of computer operations 7. An advanced understanding of and insight into the auditing of specific information and communication technologies 8. An advanced understanding of and insight into computer tools for the audit of information systems Competencies: 9. General competencies at the advanced level to learn to reflect in a scientific, critical, and independent manner about complex problems connected to auditing, control, and securing of information systems 10. The mastery of general competencies at the advanced level to conduct one‘s own scientific research around auditing, control, and securing of information systems, using in the process the scientific paradigms that are being discussed throughout the program. 11. The mastery of general competencies to originally and creatively apply the scientific knowledge in the subject field and to translate them into (solutions in) a practical environment, having in mind the continuous broadening of knowledge and insights, and this both individually and in a multidisciplinary team context 12. The ability to communicate in an understandable manner one‘s own research and practical experience to peers in the field and to laymen, thus making a contribution to the knowledge in the discipline of audit, securing, and control over information systems.
